You Didn’t Say “Hello”

This poem didn't require much thought. It doesn't come from the recesses of my brain. It's just observation. It's a story we have all read. We recognize it. We understand where it's going without even reading till the end.

It's a cheap poem.

Yet, when I leave my heart unnattended for just a minute, there I find myself, stuck in a play where every role is that of the villain. I have allowed myself to hate the hateful. I have forgotten that hate ravages one's soul, regardless of if it is justified. So I wrote this because I needed to remind myself, and because I needed to remind you.

I wont lie: I don't have an answer as to how to deal with all the hatefulness that envelopes our lives these days- But I know what the answer aint...
